Chelyabinsk Mechanical Plant (AO "ChMZ") shipped the first batch of new KS-55733 "Chelyabinets" cranes of the "ST" series in July to a customer from Surgut. The special equipment with a lifting capacity of 32 tons is mounted on a KAMAZ-65222 (6×6) chassis. This was reported by the company's press service.
For northern regions, high cross-country ability, chassis power, reliability, and well-thought-out ergonomics are especially important – these are the qualities that distinguish "Chelyabinets" cranes of the "ST" series.
ChMZ believes that the new product will replace 25, 30, and 32-ton cranes from foreign manufacturers on the market.
Characteristics of the KS-55733 "Chelyabinets" crane of the "ST" series:

- Maximum counterweight mass — 8.5 t
The KS-55733 "Chelyabinets" with a five-section boom is designed for high-altitude work. The crane was included in the register of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In Russia, cranes from foreign manufacturers were popular, including Swiss Liebherr, Chinese Zoomlion and XCMG, and German Terex-Demag. However, in 2022, problems arose with the supply of spare parts and maintenance of foreign special equipment.
