Yandex has launched an AI-powered search for gas stations with the required type of fuel. The system analyzes the user's request and shows suitable stations, their location, fuel availability, and occupancy.
The new feature appeared in Yandex Maps chat and in chat with Alice AI. Users can specify what type of fuel they need, after which the service will show the nearest gas stations, the distance to them, information about fuel availability, and the current occupancy of the stations, the company said.
Previously, information about gas stations was already displayed in Yandex Maps, Yandex Zapravki, and Yandex Go, but to find a suitable station, one had to open the cards of individual gas stations and compare the information manually. Now, this information is combined into a single response.
A request in Yandex Maps chat can be sent in text form, and when using Alice AI, voice input can also be used.
Information about gas station operations is automatically generated based on anonymized data from several sources. These include information about fuel orders through Yandex Zapravki and Yandex Go, data from drivers of the Pro application, traffic conditions near stations, and responses from Yandex Maps users participating in short surveys after visiting or passing by gas stations.
