Sales of the new Tenet T8 crossover have started in Russia: what appeared in the "Prime" version

The five-seater car has added a panoramic roof, voice assistant, and new options to the brand's lineup

Sales of the new version of the flagship Tenet T8 crossover have begun in Russia. The five-seater car in the "Prime" trim received an expanded set of equipment.

The Tenet T8 "Prime" trim includes a panoramic roof with a sunroof and sunshade, interior lighting, an electric tailgate with a hands-free opening function, and illuminated mirrors in the cabin.

In addition, the crossover received a voice assistant. With its help, the driver can control the climate control, turn on seat heating, open and close windows, adjust the radio, music volume, and other car functions.

In the "Prime" trim, the Tenet T8 crossover is equipped with a 2.0-liter SQRF4J20 turbocharged gasoline engine. The engine develops 197 hp at 5500 rpm and delivers 375 Nm of torque in the range of 1750–3500 rpm.

The manufacturer allows the use of AI-92 gasoline, but the engine's environmental class is Euro-6, and a start-stop system is also provided. A 7-speed robotic gearbox works in conjunction with the engine.

Among the main rivals of the model, experts and market participants primarily name Chinese crossovers of the same class. The main competitors are Geely Monjaro, Geely Atlas, and Haval F7.

One of the new rivals of the Tenet T8 is also considered to be the revived Volga. In particular, the large K50 crossover, which received a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 238 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel drive system.
