The crew of the "Soyuz MS-28" spacecraft has completed another stage of preparation for returning to Earth, successfully conducting an onboard descent training. Such sessions allow cosmonauts to once again practice all actions before one of the most difficult stages of the flight – landing after a long period of work in orbit.
The onboard descent training for the crew of the "Soyuz MS-28" spacecraft, in preparation for their return to Earth, was successful.
The crew of "Soyuz MS-28" includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev. They are preparing to return to Earth after working on the International Space Station.
Earlier it was reported that cosmonauts in orbit also prepare their cardiovascular system for pressure changes upon returning to Earth. For this purpose, the "Chibis" pneumovacuum suit is used.
According to Roscosmos, the crew of "Soyuz MS-28", consisting of Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, Sergey Mikaev, and NASA astronaut Christopher Williams, will return to Earth on July 26.
Shortly before the crew's return, a new long-duration expedition arrived at the ISS on the "Soyuz MS-29" spacecraft. It included Roscosmos cosmonauts Anna Kikina and Pyotr Dubrov, as well as NASA astronaut Anil Menon. They are expected to spend about eight months on the orbital station. During the expedition, 38 space experiments are planned, most of which are related to biomedical and biotechnological research.
