CHETRA Unveils New B11 Bulldozer: Machine Equipped with Electromechanical Transmission

The unit saves up to 33% fuel and reduces operating costs

CHETRA company has launched a new B11 bulldozer with an electromechanical transmission (EMT), which allows reducing operating costs, increasing power transmission efficiency, and decreasing fuel consumption. The new machine represents an evolution of the brand's domestic bulldozer line and features a fundamentally different approach to drive design.

CHETRA B11 is designed for work on construction sites, road facilities, solid waste landfills, and earthmoving operations. The machine is designed for developing soils of categories I–III without prior loosening, as well as more complex soils of category IV with ground preparation.

The main difference of the new bulldozer is the replacement of the traditional hydrostatic transmission with an electromechanical system. Unlike hydraulic counterparts, the B11's powertrain lacks working fluids, pumps, and associated maintenance elements.

According to the manufacturer, the electromechanical transmission provides approximately 5% higher efficiency compared to hydrostatic solutions. Tests have shown that under identical operating conditions, the new bulldozer consumes 33% less fuel per year.

The new system also reduces maintenance requirements. The design lacks components that require regular replacement of transmission oil and filters, and it eliminates problems characteristic of hydraulics such as leaks and changes in oil properties at low temperatures.

Another advantage of EMT is improved machine behavior when moving along complex trajectories. The electromechanical drive allows for more efficient distribution of traction, increasing maneuverability and productivity when working on turns and in confined spaces.
