Fragments of user correspondence with the Chinese neural network DeepSeek have appeared in Google's search results. However, this is not about hacking private chats: the search engine indexed dialogues for which users themselves had previously created public links.
Before publishing such a page, DeepSeek warns that its content can be seen by anyone who receives the link. The service also recommends checking the correspondence in advance and removing confidential information from it.
The discovered dialogues did not allow opening someone else's account, viewing private query history, or downloading attached documents. However, visitors to the public page could continue the conversation with the neural network by sending a new query.
Following reports of the situation, Roskomnadzor stated that it had not restricted access to DeepSeek. The agency explained that blocking is only possible based on decisions of authorized bodies, and no such requirements regarding the service have been received.
Why public pages appeared in Google's search results is still unknown. DeepSeek developers have not commented on the situation.
