India and Russia have begun a new phase of cooperation in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), focusing on specialist training, technology development, and industrial cooperation. This became known after a meeting of Russian and Indian industry experts dedicated to the prospects for joint development of unmanned solutions.
During the discussions, participants noted the importance of creating their own production base, transferring technologies, and developing interaction between universities and industrial enterprises. The parties consider the training of qualified personnel and the development of engineering competencies as one of the key factors for the growth of the drone industry.
Special attention was paid to the possibilities of using unmanned systems in civilian applications. Promising areas included agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, and the use of UAVs for government services.
The meeting was organized by the Russian educational company Synergy Corporation together with the Geoscan group and the Indian aerospace company Aviakul Private Limited. Participants emphasized the need for further development of industrial ties, technology exchange, and expanded cooperation in the field of unmanned systems.
The Indian and Russian sides consider the drone sector as one of the promising areas for technological partnership, where joint projects can combine production capabilities, scientific developments, and the training of new specialists.
