Russian industry has received a mobile shelter that can become the last line of defense for personnel during attacks and man-made accidents. The company "RT-Proektnye Tekhnologii" supplies block-modular civil defense structures "KUB-M", capable of rapid deployment directly on enterprise premises.
One module with an area of 25 sq. m is designed to accommodate up to 50 people. The structure can be reinforced with concrete blocks, and several containers can be combined into a single protective point. With such equipment, the structure is capable of withstanding a high-explosive blast, protecting against collapses and hazardous substances.
The "KUB-M" module can connect to external networks or operate autonomously for up to 2 days. It is equipped with compressed air, water supply, sewerage, heating systems, and a diesel generator. The shelters can be used together with the "Pautina" protective complex.
Earlier, military expert Yuri Knutov noted that it is impossible to protect critical infrastructure with "Pautina" alone: it must be used together with EW, mobile fire groups, or "Pantsir" and "Tor" air defense systems.
The new scheme effectively adds another level to this system – the protection of people, if the drone still manages to overcome the outer defense lines.
