"Sputnix" accelerated the internet in orbit: data will fly ten times faster

New software increased transmission speed to 100 Mbps without equipment replacement

Sputnix company has developed and tested new software for nanosatellite transmitters. After the update, the speed of data transmission to Earth increased tenfold – up to 100 Mbps.

Crucially, no equipment replacement will be required. The new version can be installed on all the company's devices with the SXC-XTX-01 transmitter, including satellites already operating in orbit.

The technology is designed for small CubeSats of 3U and 6U formats, performing scientific, educational, and AIS missions. During testing, the system operated stably and successfully transmitted information from the test apparatus.

Sputnix already has a more powerful orbital constellation, "Zorky-2M": its satellites transmit data at speeds up to one gigabit per second and can send up to 100 gigabytes of information to Earth per day.
