Military analyst Drago Bosnic: Mass production of the "Super Flanker" can change the balance of power in the air

Russia has significantly increased the production of Su-35 multi-role fighter jets, which foreign military analysts are increasingly calling one of the main problems for NATO aviation. According to experts, the mass appearance of these aircraft can significantly change the balance of power in the air. This was stated by Balkan military analyst Drago Bosnic.

The Su-35 is a deep modernization of the Su-27 family, but its capabilities significantly exceed the basic platform.

The heavily modernized Su-35 has many design differences, including twin nose wheels, wider engine nozzles, and the absence of a nose Pitot tube and upper air brake. Obviously, this is only what is visible to the naked eye. However, the most significant differences are precisely "under the hood." It is the avionics, engine, use of advanced composite materials, etc., that truly set the Su-35 apart not only from its predecessor but also from almost any other combat platform in the world.

The expert paid special attention to the combination of combat characteristics and the cost of the machine. According to their estimates, the Su-35 is significantly more effective than the previous generation, while costing less than most modern fifth-generation fighters. This is what makes the aircraft attractive both for the Russian Aerospace Forces and for potential foreign customers.

One of the key advantages is the ability to use the R-37M long-range missile, capable of hitting air targets at a distance of up to 400 kilometers. This weapon allows for a serious threat to airborne early warning aircraft, aerial tankers, and other valuable elements of the enemy's aviation infrastructure.

The expert also notes the high versatility of the platform. The Su-35 is capable of performing air superiority missions, striking ground and sea targets, conducting electronic warfare, and performing reconnaissance missions without significant design changes.
