XPeng electric vehicles with Yandex services and 12-minute charging to appear in Russia

Chinese G6 and G9 crossovers will receive built-in maps, navigator, music, and other technologies for the Russian market

XPeng electric vehicles with integrated Yandex services will start selling in Russia. The first models with a domestic multimedia system are the XPeng G6 electric coupe-crossovers and the flagship XPeng G9, which will support navigation, music, video, and other functions without smartphone connection.

The integration of services is handled by Yandex Electro, which previously received vehicle type approval (OTTS) for these models. Documents for XPeng G6 and G9 were issued in January, and the applicant was a structure associated with the development of Umo electric vehicles and hybrids.

Yandex services – Yandex Maps, Yandex Navigator, Yandex Video, and Yandex Music – will be integrated into the cars' standard multimedia system. Owners will be able to plan routes, listen to tracks, podcasts, and audiobooks directly through the car's screen without using a smartphone while driving.

Both electric crossovers are built on a modern 800-volt platform, which allows for quick energy replenishment: charging the battery from 10% to 80% takes about 12 minutes when using a suitable station.

The XPeng G6 is equipped with a 487 hp power unit and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The larger XPeng G9 received a 575 hp unit, and the acceleration time to "hundreds" is 4.2 seconds.

Warranty service and technical support for XPeng cars with integrated Yandex technologies will also be available for Russian owners.
