Construction of the new Biryulyovskaya metro line in Moscow continues. Specialists have begun work on two future stations at once - "Lipetskaya" and "Lebedyanskaya". Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin revealed the details.
At both sites, diaphragm walls are already being created and enclosing structures are being erected - these are the first stages of preparing the construction sites.
At Lipetskaya station, specialists are preparing to create a new rainwater drainage network and a temporary access road that will operate during construction. The relocation of utility lines also continues.
At the site of the future Lebedyanskaya station, the bypass road leading to the Lipetskaya Street duplicate will be widened.
We will also put in order the territories adjacent to the stations: we plan to lay new asphalt and carry out landscaping.
According to the mayor, work is already underway on 8 out of 10 planned stations of the Biryulyovskaya line.
The stations "ZIL", "Ostrov Mechty", "Klyonoviy Bulvar", "Kuryanovo", "Luganskaya" and "Kaspiyskaya" are being built at an active pace. At the sites of the future stations "Moskvorechye" and "Biryulyovo", territory preparation is currently underway.
The first section of the Biryulyovskaya metro line from "ZIL" to "Kuryanovo" is planned to open in 2028, and the extension of the line to "Biryulyovo" - in 2029. The new branch will connect several major transport directions of Moscow: the BKL, Troitskaya and Zamoskvoretskaya metro lines, the MCC and the Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway.
According to Sobyanin, the new line will improve transport services for more than a million residents. The project is being implemented within the goals and initiatives of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
