JSC "Center for Autonomous Robotic Systems" has patented a disposable target-type training UAV, according to Rospatent documents. The drone is designed for practicing shooting with anti-aircraft missile systems, checking their condition, and training air defense crews, including testing thermal, radar, and optoelectronic systems.
The aircraft-type design consists of a load-bearing airframe made of upper and lower composite skins. Inside, a power frame made of plywood parts, connected by grooves with glue, is embedded. Metal fasteners are not provided, which reduces cost and speeds up assembly. The fuel tank is glued into the skin along with the frame elements and is structurally part of the airframe.
According to the developer, this design increases the manufacturability of mass production, reducing the cost and time for manufacturing each unit. The drone is designed for disposable use and can be used for training SAM crews.
