Passengers planning trips to southern Russia will temporarily not be able to buy tickets for some long-distance trains. Russian Railways has suspended sales for a number of routes departing from September 30 due to changes in the timetable.
As the company reported, the reason was repair work on the railway infrastructure, which is scheduled for October. Currently, specialists are adjusting the schedule and routes of some trains, after which tickets will be available for sale again.
The restrictions will affect trains heading to stations on the Black Sea coast and the Caucasian Mineral Waters. Russian Railways clarified that this is not about canceling trains – the carrier has temporarily stopped issuing tickets until the schedule adjustment is completed.
Sales will open gradually over the week. Passengers are advised to follow updates through the "RZD Passengers" application and enable notifications for ticket availability.
