LiAZ Citymax 12 for 117 Passengers and Gas-Powered KAVZ-4270 Showcased at Innoprom

One bus has already been handed over to a carrier for testing on city routes

Two new vehicles for city routes were presented in Yekaterinburg. The United Bus Group brought the diesel LiAZ Citymax 12 and the gas-powered KAVZ-4470 to the Innoprom exhibition. One of the buses can carry up to 117 people, while the second features a low-floor interior and an updated driver's workplace.

The main feature of the Citymax 12 is its modular architecture, which allows for various interior configurations. More than 70 layout options have already been certified. Depending on the version, the bus can accommodate from 85 to 117 passengers, with seating for 20 to 35 people.

The body of the Citymax 12 is made using composite materials. The vehicle received a new YAMZ-537 diesel engine with a volume of 7.7 liters and a power of 360 horsepower, as well as a six-speed automatic transmission. Gas and electric versions are planned for the future.

Not only an exhibition model of the Citymax 12 was brought to Yekaterinburg. Another bus was handed over to a local carrier, who will test it on city routes.

The second novelty is the low-floor city bus of medium class KAVZ-4270, manufactured in Kurgan. It is designed to carry up to 90 passengers and has 28 seats. The vehicle is equipped with a "kneeling" system and a folding ramp. The bus is equipped with both diesel and gas engines.

The KAVZ-4270 presented at Innoprom received a gas engine, a six-speed gearbox, and complies with Euro-5 environmental standards. A roof-mounted air conditioner is installed in the cabin. The enclosed driver's workplace is equipped with a climate control system, a pneumatic heated seat, armrests, a steering column adjustable in two planes, as well as front and side blinds.
