Nizhny Novgorod shipbuilders laid down four river vessels at the R-Flot Group of Companies (GC) site in the village of Oksky. These are an oil skimmer of project ROS2406, a tugboat of project RPT2507, a barge of project RBD2808, and a non-self-propelled scow of project RHB2007NS, which were developed by specialists of the R-Flot.Design Design Bureau, the GC's press service reported.
The Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yegor Polyakov, attended the solemn ceremony. He stated that shipbuilding is an important part of the region's industrial sector. Here, hydrofoil vessels, crab-processing vessels, cruise liners, and electric passenger vessels are built.
The industry in the Nizhny Novgorod region today is based on 18 large and medium-sized enterprises, and "R-Flot" is a significant element of a well-built system.
The region's enterprises are "booked with orders for years to come," Polyakov summarized.
What vessels does "R-Flot" build
Project ROS2406 involves the creation of a specialized oil skimmer vessel. It is designed to eliminate oil spills in reservoirs and lakes. The customer is Transneft-Privolga.

The river tug-pusher of ice class project RPT2507 will be operated on inland waterways. Its purpose is to tow and ensure safe maneuvering of large vessels in difficult sections in ports.

The customer of the non-self-propelled flat-top barge of project RBD2808 is AO Transneft-Prikamye. The cargo vessel has a ramp device (an inclined platform for self-entry/exit of wheeled and tracked vehicles).
