In Russia, the list of cars that can be used for taxi services according to localization requirements continues to expand. Four more models are planned to be added to the new list – from the brands Tenet, Omoda, Jetour, and Jeland. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. After the changes are approved, the government order will be published on the official legal information portal.
Previously, the list already included Haval Jolion, Haval F7, Haval F7x, Tenet T7 models, as well as Moskvich M70 and M90 crossovers, UMO 5 electric crossover, and Sollers SF1 passenger van.
At the same time, UAZ Hunter and UAZ Patriot, as well as two out of five previously included Evolute models – I-Pro and I-Jet – were excluded from the list.
The Russian automotive industry continues to increase the localization of production of new models that meet legislative requirements. Currently, almost 30 models of Russian passenger cars of different classes already meet the established criteria.
One of the conditions for including new cars in the list is that the manufacturer must have a special investment contract (SPIC) concluded after March 1, 2025, as well as a separate government decision on the admission of a specific model for use in such procurements.
To fulfill this condition, the government has defined additional requirements. The car must score at least 1500 localization points, excluding research and development (R&D), and the manufacturing company must invest at least 10 billion rubles in production development over the past two years.
At the same time, the number of localization points may differ for the same model depending on the car's configuration and modification.
