The government of Leningrad Oblast is working on several restriction options to reduce queues at gas stations, but they have not been introduced yet. According to Nikita Dontsov, the governor's press secretary, who spoke to TASS, the fuel situation is stable, the panic demand is gradually decreasing, and there is no current need for QR codes.
Vice-Governor for Fuel and Energy Complex Denis Sedov confirmed that among the scenarios being considered are QR codes and an "odd-even" refueling system. According to him, the goal is to prevent speculation and ensure people's confidence that they will be able to get fuel. Another measure planned for introduction is permission to pour gasoline into GOST-compliant canisters of no more than 10 liters at all gas stations in the region.
Currently, 310 out of 359 gas stations are operating stably in Leningrad Oblast. Restrictions similar to those adopted in Crimea and Sevastopol remain at the scenario development stage, not as ready-made solutions.
