Main Mistakes When Working with EW Systems Named by SPC "Svarog"

The creators of "Molniya" and "Gorynych" drones warned about typical operator miscalculations

Specialists from the "Svarog" Scientific and Production Center listed three common mistakes made by operators when working with electronic warfare devices. As practice shows, even with functional equipment, its effectiveness often turns out to be lower than expected.

The first mistake is blind faith in the power indicator. A light on the device body only indicates that power is supplied, but provides no information on whether the device is delivering the required power and operating at the necessary frequencies. This can only be checked with a spectrum analyzer, but most operators do not do this. As a result, the EW system may actually be silent, while the operator believes they are protected.

The second mistake is constant EW system activation. A jammer is a radio transmitter, and prolonged operation at full power leads to overheating and failure. Furthermore, a powerful radiating antenna is visible to radio technical reconnaissance assets for kilometers. Constant emission unmasks the operator's position. The correct tactic is: turn on – complete the task – turn off.

The third mistake concerns automotive EW systems left connected to the vehicle's electrical system after the engine is turned off. By morning, the battery is completely drained, making an urgent departure impossible. Specialists recommend disconnecting everything connected to the vehicle simultaneously with turning off the engine.
