The company "Dieselzipservice" (KMZ) has begun overhauling the DC59L gas turbine engine, used in energy and industrial infrastructure facilities with increased reliability requirements. The work is being carried out at the company's production base with a full cycle of unit restoration – from initial diagnostics to bench testing under load.
This refers to a gas turbine unit operating in long-term modes, where parameter stability, hot section life, and the condition of support nodes are critical.
Before starting restoration operations, the engine undergoes comprehensive technical control: specialists record the condition of the fuel, oil, and air systems, perform defect detection of mechanical components, and assess the wear of bearing supports and hot path elements.
Based on the diagnostic results, an individual overhaul map is formed. It includes replacing worn parts, restoring the geometry of critical components, and bringing parameters up to the requirements of design documentation.
All work is performed at the company's own production site, equipped with machinery for precision machining, welding, balancing, and testing.
After assembly, the engine undergoes bench tests under load, where operating characteristics, mode stability, and reliability in various operational scenarios are confirmed.
