Rostec tested new "Mnogotochie" anti-drone cartridges, which, after firing, split into three damaging elements, increasing the probability of hitting a drone. The development was created by the "High Precision Systems" holding, presenting it as a new solution for combating UAVs using a standard AK assault rifle.
The main feature of the ammunition is the bullet's design. After firing, it splits into three separate damaging elements that uniformly spread along the trajectory. This increases the area of impact and the probability of hitting a small and fast-moving aerial target.
According to the developers, the new cartridge is designed for use with standard AK family assault rifles, which allows it to be used without creating new small arms. This solution can simplify the equipping of units with means to combat small-sized drones.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the Kalashnikov Concern, together with a partner cartridge enterprise, is developing new ammunition that should increase the penetrating power of small arms against modern personal protective equipment.
