The BM-70 drone is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 100 kilometers, is ready for launch in approximately 10 minutes, and does not require special launch infrastructure. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported on the capabilities of the new model, citing the company commander of one of the Russian units.
According to him, the maximum flight range reaches 100 kilometers, although this figure may vary depending on the conditions of use. The drone is designed to hit various types of targets, including personnel, warehouses, and deployment sites.
One of the main features of the BM-70 is its high mobility. To launch the device, an open space with a radius of approximately 20 meters is required. After the crew arrives at the site, it is necessary to unload the launcher and the drone, install the consoles, after which the aircraft can be sent into flight.
As noted by the Russian military department, the BM-70 is equipped with a powerful warhead capable of hitting reinforced concrete shelters and capital structures. In addition, the drone is designed for use both day and night, which expands its capabilities in various conditions.
The Ministry of Defence reported that the crews continue to master the new unmanned complex and are already using it in practice.
