In Krasnoyarsk Krai, plans are underway to begin implementing the project for a new Evenki hydroelectric power plant. The issue of construction has been brought to the federal level and included in the agenda of the meeting on the development of energy in Siberia, which will be held on June 29 by the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergey Shoigu.
At the same time, the authorities intend to discuss increasing the capacity of the Beryozovskaya GRES, which operates on coal.
The meeting will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev, as well as heads of Siberian regions. In addition to Krasnoyarsk Krai, participants will consider the development of generating capacities in Kemerovo Oblast and Buryatia.
Krasnoyarsk Krai is already among the largest energy regions in the country. The Krasnoyarsk HPP on the Yenisei, the Boguchanskaya HPP on the Angara, as well as the Kureyskaya, Ust-Khantayskaya, and Yenashiminskaya hydroelectric power plants operate here. The appearance of a new Evenki HPP can strengthen the energy potential of the territory and create an additional reserve for providing electricity to industry and new investment projects.
