A modular protective shelter for aircraft, which can also be used for Su-57 fighters, is estimated at approximately 70 million rubles. This was reported by the authors of the Telegram channel "Voevoda veshchaet".
Such hangars remain operational even after close explosions. The design combines a container base with a canopy, and its walls are very thick. Outside, they are additionally protected by high gabions, which effectively retain fragments and shrapnel.
The authors of the material emphasize that the modular shelter is not designed for a direct hit by ammunition and is not a full-fledged reinforced concrete protective structure. Its main advantages are its relatively low cost, quick construction, and the ability to increase the survivability of aviation equipment when deployed at an airfield.
It is noted that against the background of the cost of a modern fighter, which reaches several billion rubles, the construction of a shelter is significantly cheaper. In addition, the use of several identical hangars makes it more difficult to determine the location of a specific aircraft.
