Several popular VK Group applications have disappeared from the Russian App Store. iPhone users can no longer download or update the main VK app, as well as "VK Music", "VK Messenger", and "VK Video". At the same time, "Odnoklassniki" and "Zen" have also disappeared from the app store.
VK's press service reported that the applications were removed by Apple without warning and unilaterally. The company emphasized that these services are currently unavailable for download and update on Apple devices.
VK stated that the company has never been under sanctions and has not appeared on sanction lists. They believe that Apple's actions restrict Russian users' access to popular services.
The reasons for the applications' removal by Apple have not been publicly announced. However, according to various estimates, if the application is already installed on an iPhone, it should not be deleted, because it may not be possible to download it again from the Russian App Store now.
It is also believed that Apple's actions may lead to users not receiving push notifications about messages and important events.
