Tatarstan's largest TPP to launch a combined cycle power plant worth almost 18 billion rubles

The station in Naberezhnye Chelny will receive a new power unit with a capacity of 236 MW

Tatenergo will allocate 17.8 billion rubles for the construction and commissioning of a new combined cycle power plant at the Naberezhnye Chelny TPP. After the project's completion, the station will receive a power unit with a total capacity of 236 MW, which should significantly increase the efficiency of electricity and heat production.

Builders and adjusters will have to install equipment, carry out commissioning works, and ensure the new combined cycle power plant is put into commercial operation.

The project is being implemented as part of the modernization of the Naberezhnye Chelny TPP. The new power unit will be located on the station's territory of 51 hectares. After launch, the facility will become one of the key elements of the enterprise's updated energy infrastructure.

As noted by Rauzil Khaziev, General Director of Tatenergo, the commissioning of the combined cycle power plant will allow the station to switch to a more efficient operating model. According to him, thanks to the new power unit, Tatarstan's largest TPP in terms of installed capacity will be able to abandon the unprofitable condensing mode and significantly improve economic performance.

Earlier it was reported that the Omsk TPP-4 completed the assembly of the main equipment of the new turbine unit. Cylinders, through which pressurized steam passes and electricity is generated, were installed at the station. Also, at the Ufa TPP-4, a new automatic control subsystem for the electrical part of the steam turbine regulation system was put into operation. In addition, at the Severskaya TPP, the installation of the frame, furnace, and main components of the new boiler unit No. 12 was completed. automatic control subsystem.
