AI is already in resumes, but not in salaries: businesses can't keep up with employees

Central Bank: companies expect productivity growth, but only a third see the effect

Employees are mastering neural networks faster than companies can integrate them into their workflows. According to the HSE and Rosstat, 37.5% of employed Russians possess AI skills, but only 4.9% say they cannot do without them in their current job.

A survey by the Bank of Russia among 14.7 thousand companies shows a similar picture: only one in seven enterprises uses AI, and another one in five is only planning to implement it. Most often, neural networks are used in marketing, sales, document management, advertising, and employee recruitment.

Businesses expect technology to primarily increase productivity. But so far, only 35% of companies using AI have noticed this effect. 11% reported profit growth, and 7% reported a reduction in the number of employees.

The main problem is not access to chatbots, but their implementation. For AI to truly save time, it needs to be linked to internal databases, document management, client systems, and data protection. And there is still a shortage of specialists who know how to do this.
