"I didn't say that" won't work anymore: T-Mobile launched AI call summaries

The service will highlight the main points, transcribe speech into text, and categorize recordings by thematic tags

T-Mobile has launched "Smart Call Recording" – a service that will prepare a text transcript and a short summary after a conversation. Recordings can be sorted by thematic tags to avoid searching for a specific agreement or address in a long call history.

The service operates on T-Mobile's proprietary ML model. It recognizes professional terms, colloquial abbreviations, and complex phrases even with noise and overlapping speakers. The company claims that no third-party solutions are used for data processing and storage.

The service emerged from an internal function for T-Bank employees. We saw how convenient it was to get brief summaries almost instantly after meetings, generated by our own AI algorithm. It turned out that there is also a demand for this service among our subscribers, and it can be applied not only to work issues but also to everyday life.

The new feature is an extended version of the already available call recording. It can be used for free until the end of summer. After that, the basic version without transcription and summary will remain, and the extended version will cost 49 rubles per month.
