A new subsystem for automatic control of the electrical part of the regulation system (EChSR) has been launched at Ufimskaya TPP-4. It is integrated into the existing automated process control system (APCS) of the R-50-12.8/1.5 No. 9 steam turbine. The development was carried out by NPF "KRUG". This is a typical solution that is already used at other energy facilities.
The integrated subsystem is responsible for controlling the turbine's steam distribution mechanisms, maintaining the turboset's operating parameters, executing logical control algorithms, technological protections, interlocks, and automatic regulation. In addition, the system ensures maintaining the set rotor speed with the required regulation unevenness.
The hardware and software parts of the complex are built on Russian-made equipment. The solution is based on the PAK PTK KRUG-2000 hardware and software complex, and the upper-level functions are implemented on SCADA KRUG-2000. The TREI-5B-04 Standard controller with an installed real-time system became the control device.
According to the developer, the integration was performed on a single hardware and software platform. Thanks to this, the control of the turboset and the EChSR subsystem, as well as their configuration, are performed from a single automated operator workstation.
