Serial production of LC filters for the space industry has begun in Russia. These are small electronic components that help on-board systems of satellites and other spacecraft work with communication more accurately: to isolate the desired signal and cut off unnecessary interference. The serial production of discrete and integrated LC filters was launched by the Rosel holding of the Rostec State Corporation.
LC filters are used in communication and control systems of on-board complexes of spacecraft. Their main task is to separate signals by frequency. They help the system understand where the useful signal is and where the noise and interference are. This is especially important when frequencies are close to each other. The components allow separating the desired signal even in such conditions.
In addition, the new LC filters suppress high-frequency interference and strong external interference. This reduces distortion and makes data transmission more stable.
At the same time, the devices have a low level of intrinsic losses. This means that the signal quality is maintained even at the output of the filter.
According to the developer, the products are compact and have improved characteristics compared to previously produced domestic analogues.
Rosel notes that the launch of serial production of such components should also reduce dependence on foreign solutions in space electronics.
