The Supercam S180 reconnaissance drone has been equipped with a new system for detecting interceptor drones, and its flight duration has been more than doubled. The modernization was carried out by the "Besplotnye Sistemy" group of companies.
The developers have integrated an optical and radio frequency detection complex into the drone, designed to detect approaching FPV drones. An additional camera is installed on the aircraft to monitor the rear and upper hemispheres, which automatically recognizes aerial objects and warns the operator of a potential threat.
The new system should increase the survivability of the reconnaissance complex in areas where interceptor drones and FPV devices are actively used.
Simultaneously with enhanced protection, engineers significantly increased the drone's flight characteristics. Now, the Supercam S180 can stay in the air for more than four hours, which is twice the previous figures.
The maximum flight speed has also been increased. Thanks to this, the aircraft can overcome the most dangerous sections of the route faster and perform reconnaissance missions at a significant distance from the line of contact.
Earlier, "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the manufacturer of Supercam drones will sharply increase production. A new UAV center with an area of 87 thousand square meters will be built in Udmurtia.
