Almost all major Russian banks have prepared for the introduction of the digital ruble. This was stated by Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets.
According to him, the committee received requests from a number of organizations, included among systemically important ones and obliged to use the digital ruble from September 1, to ease the conditions. They need more time to prepare, Aksakov added.
Here, I am sure that a compromise can be found, not to apply sanctions to them for a certain period of time, giving them the opportunity to prepare for servicing the digital ruble.
From September, Sberbank, T-Bank, Sovcombank, "Moscow Credit Bank", Dom.rf and other systemically important banks are obliged to accept payments in digital rubles. Then this requirement will apply to all banking organizations.
The third form of national currency is being introduced for instant and free transfers. In addition, the digital ruble will help with targeted spending of budget funds.
