"Lancet" gets its most dangerous function: the drone can complete an attack even after losing connection

Upon loss of communication channels, the loitering munition retains the ability to complete its combat mission

The "Lancet" loitering munition has gained the ability to complete an attack even if communication channels are lost. This was announced by Zala company, presenting new details of the complex's operation at the International Maritime Defense Show "Flot-2026".

The system is capable of identifying potential targets, marking them, and transmitting information to the operator for decision-making. After confirmation, the object is automatically acquired and tracked without constant human involvement.

The company noted that even under the influence of electronic warfare and loss of communication, the munition retains the ability to complete its combat mission. This approach reduces reaction time and lessens the burden on the crew.

In fact, this refers to extending the autonomy of the "Lancet" at the final stage of deployment. At the same time, the decision to attack, according to the developers, remains with the operator, after which the system independently tracks the selected target until impact.
