Before heading to the ISS, the crew was left without communication and oxygen

Cosmonauts passed an emergency situation test

The future crew of the ISS-75 expedition completed one of the key training sessions before their July flight into orbit. On the simulators of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, the cosmonauts practiced not only daily work but also actions in serious emergency situations.

The training involved Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, as well as NASA astronaut Anil Menon. For eight hours, they conducted a full "flight day," as close as possible to real work on the station.

The crew serviced the life support systems of the Russian segment of the ISS, including the "Elektron" complex, responsible for oxygen generation, the "Vozdukh" atmosphere purification system, and the "Rodnik" water supply unit.

However, the main focus was on practicing emergency scenarios. Instructors simulated the failure of the oxygen supply system, loss of communication with the Flight Control Center, and an atmosphere leak in the transfer chamber of the "Zvezda" module.

Along with the main crew, the backups also underwent training — cosmonauts Dmitry Petelin and Konstantin Borisov, as well as NASA astronaut Denise Burnham.

The launch of the spacecraft with the ISS-75 crew is scheduled for July 14. Before the launch, the cosmonauts will have to complete several more stages of comprehensive training.
