Zala unveils Kama unmanned boats for the first time

Developers claim a range of up to 700 km and a payload of up to 600 kg

At the International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2026", the Kama unmanned boats were presented for the first time, capable of operating at a distance of up to 700 kilometers from their base. The new platform was developed by Zala, which demonstrated a device designed for both civilian use and special tasks.

The novelty debuted in Kronstadt, where an industry forum is being held from June 10 to 14, bringing together representatives of the Navy, government agencies, and shipbuilding enterprises.

According to the developers, the boats can be used for hydrographic research, environmental monitoring, and detecting illegal discharges of pollutants. They are also considered as a means of patrolling water areas, protecting facilities, conducting search and rescue operations, and delivering various cargoes.

Kama's autonomy reaches 12 hours. The unmanned boat can reach speeds of up to 22.2 km/h, maintain a given position in sea waves up to three points, and carry a payload weighing up to 600 kilograms.

Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that a new marine drone "Heroes of the Fog" was tested in the Arctic.
