At the "Fleet-2026" naval exhibition in Kronstadt, a new project for an 11-meter high-speed unmanned surface vessel (USV) with variable hydrofoils was presented. The USV is capable of accelerating up to 48 knots – about 90 km/h.
The development of the strike asset is being carried out by "Kolskaya Verf" (Murmansk) and NPP "ELVO" (St. Petersburg). A prototype may see the light of day in the summer of 2027.
The boat's length is 11 m. In bad weather, in shallow water, and during mooring, the foils are retracted, and the USV operates at low speeds.
When the water area is clear, the USV rises on its foils and can perform various tasks at high speed. This is a multifunctional high-speed platform. Both offensive and reconnaissance-defensive assets can be installed on it.
The USV will receive a 45 hp engine, and its payload capacity will be 1.3 tons of useful load. The boat will be able to surpass any existing analogues.
In parallel with the development of USVs, countermeasures against them are also being developed. Rostec recently demonstrated special ammunition with a cloud of fragments.
