"Kalashnikov" is refining the "Khaska-10": the hovercraft's payload capacity is to be increased to 20 tons

Modernization affects the power and propulsion parts, while the dimensions remain the same

Kalashnikov Concern is working on improving the design of the Khaska-10 hovercraft. Thanks to new technical solutions, the vessel's payload capacity will increase to 20 tons, while its dimensions will remain the same.

According to representatives of the concern, the changes concern the propulsion system (a complex of equipment that ensures the conversion of various types of energy into work to move the vessel). These are precisely what should ensure a twofold increase in payload capacity compared to the basic version while maintaining the same dimensions.

Our designers modernized the Khaska-10 vessel without changing its dimensions, only by making changes to the propulsion system, which allowed increasing the vessel's payload capacity to 20 tons.

Kalashnikov announced plans to create a version of the Khaska with a payload capacity of about 20 tons back in 2025. Now the concern has stated that the necessary technical solutions have already been developed.

The next stage will be further work on the project, which should retain the key advantages of a vessel with flexible skegs and at the same time expand its cargo transportation capabilities.

New details of the project became known at the International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2026", held in Kronstadt.
