Humanoid robots may appear at car factories in the Kaluga region. They are planned to be used for conveyor work, moving heavy objects, and performing logistics tasks. The main goal is to free employees from monotonous and heavy operations. The details were revealed by the Governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha.
The robot was named "Aynet". It is expected to become part of the region's economy and technological development in the near future, the head of the region emphasized.
The robot can recognize objects, carry cargo, and perform logistics-related tasks. For the automotive industry, such capabilities are especially important, as some work on the production line remains routine and physically demanding.
When asked if Kaluga region factories would be the first in Russia to use such robots, Shapsha replied that he had not yet heard of their use at other enterprises in the country.
The governor also noted that the region's automotive cluster currently includes 30 enterprises. According to him, all of them are operating and fully provided with orders.
