Some "Max" users on iPhone have encountered a new problem after the app was removed from the App Store. For some owners of older versions, the messenger stopped launching without an update, but it is now impossible to download it.
The problem may be related to the fact that the application still has a forced update mechanism. As a result, upon login, a screen with an "Update" button appears, but it does not work: "Max" is no longer available in the Apple store, and there are no other options to continue using it on this screen.
For users, this means a de facto loss of access to the messenger on iPhone if the application requires a new version. Those who are not prompted for an update can still maintain access for now, but the situation depends on the installed version and the behavior of the application itself.
This is a continuation of "Max" problems on Apple devices. Earlier, the application disappeared from the App Store, and Apple explained the removal by sanction rules, without specifying which restrictions were meant. After that, Rostelecom admitted that some users of the national messenger might switch to Android or the Russian "Aurora" if iPhone stops working properly with the service.
