Kalashnikov Concern has developed and presented a new safe field food warmer that can replace dry fuel and camping stoves in the army. The device operates without an open flame, does not reveal a position with heat, and allows heating food and water without compromising cover.
The device operates without an open flame, making it harder to detect with thermal imagers. The concern reported that the warmer is fire-safe and does not contain aggressive chemical components. According to company representatives, most existing analogues are produced using American technologies with magnesium and lime, while the new Russian system is based on a different principle.
The company noted that soldiers often use dry fuel, but this method is inconvenient and requires oxygen for combustion. In addition, an open flame increases the risk of position detection and does not provide efficient food heating.
Device activation takes a few seconds, and full food heating takes up to 25 minutes. Food temperature can reach 65 degrees Celsius, and water up to 75 degrees Celsius. The warmer is designed for packages weighing up to 600 grams.
Kalashnikov also reported that the product can be transported by air due to its fire safety. After use, the device does not damage clothing, does not burn the skin, and does not pollute the soil. The company is currently working to include the new warmer in the supply of the Russian military.
