Russian military personnel have started using ground robotic platforms to create mobile protection against drones. Machines equipped with electronic warfare systems accompany groups on the front line, jamming drones and covering the movement of personnel.
Modified complexes operate as a mobile electronic warfare dome. The robot moves closer to a dangerous area, then activates a system for suppressing drone control channels. This allows for safer assault operations, changing positions, and delivering cargo in high-risk zones.
Such platforms are particularly effective against heavy hexacopters, which usually move along pre-known routes. Thanks to its mobility, the robot can quickly occupy the desired point and cover the sector with interference.
Military experts also emphasize that compact robots can operate where heavy equipment cannot pass. They are easier to camouflage, conceal, and quickly redeploy between positions. However, the power consumption of powerful electronic warfare systems remains a limitation – not every platform can provide the necessary equipment power.
