At the shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Nefteflot" (Samara), the welding of the bow of the RSD34L project vessel is being completed. This is one of the first large elements of the future dry cargo ship, the company's press service reported.
Nefteflot shipbuilders are simultaneously building 9 vessels of this project. The multi-purpose dry cargo ship will have 2 cargo holds with a deadweight of 5940/4550 tons. It is designed for transporting general (packaged goods are transported in individual packaging) and bulk cargo (loose materials), including grain, lumber, round timber, metal, and coal.
The RSD34L project was developed by specialists from "Marine Engineering Bureau-SPb". The vessel is planned to be operated on inland waterways.
