Texas Instruments chips from the USA and Switzerland found in decoy drones cheaper than "Geraniums"

Imitators are designed to detect air defense system positions

Russian military personnel have begun to actively use decoy drones without a warhead. Many components from foreign countries were found in the drones, the Reporter newspaper reported, citing foreign sources.

The flight controller module of the "decoy" contains components manufactured by companies from China — Ebyte, Jiashan Jinchang Electron, Yangzhou Yangjie Electronic Technology.

It also contains components from Texas Instruments, Cypress Semiconductor, InvenSense from the USA and Switzerland.

These imitators are mainly needed to identify the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems or as a diversion. At the same time, they are much cheaper than attack "Geraniums".

Earlier it became known that the military began to use a new version of the Geran-2 attack drones with a camera, radio control system, and machine vision system.
