Droneport for interceptor UAVs developed by Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation

Autonomous stations are planned to be placed near critical infrastructure facilities

Engineers of the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation have created special droneports for the deployment, maintenance, and automated launch of interceptor UAVs. This was announced by Dmitry Savitsky, Deputy General Director of the corporation for products for the air navigation system.

According to him, the integration of droneports into the security system of critical infrastructure facilities is a new direction for the corporation.

The deployment of a fleet of interceptor UAVs based on special droneports allows for reducing reaction time and increasing the efficiency of their use and maintenance.
Dmitry Savitsky, top manager of Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation

The corporation already has a number of unique developments – the droneports themselves and solutions for their integration, Savitsky added.

A droneport is an automated station for deploying, recharging, and maintaining drones without operator involvement. With its help, UAVs can operate around the clock, and data on their technical condition and battery charge level will be transmitted to the dispatcher.
