The Russian electric motorcycle "Arktur" will undergo certification tests in the autumn of 2026. This was announced by the chief design engineer of "Motozavod Rus", Denis Dergachev, during the Caucasian Investment Forum, where the second production model was presented.
The development is carried out entirely by the enterprise's own efforts: the load-bearing frame, suspension elements, layout, and design were created by Russian engineers without involving foreign contractors. By August, engineers plan to launch the prototype into a cycle of certification tests, after which preparations for industrial assembly will begin. The site for serial production is intended to be deployed in Zelenograd.
Dergachev noted that the market for electric motorcycles in Russia is showing growth, but the regulatory framework is still lagging behind the pace of technology development. According to him, legislative nuances require clarification, as two-wheeled electric vehicles are a relatively new direction for domestic regulation.
The engineer also emphasized that "Arktur" is a full-fledged motorcycle with declared power without artificial restrictions in the documentation. This approach, according to the developers, increases trust from professional riders and commercial customers.
