Keel of the PBSHB6 project hopper dredger "Azovskaya-4" laid in Petrozavodsk

The self-propelled barge will be delivered to the customer in 2027

The keel of the self-propelled hopper dredger "Azovskaya-4" (project PBSHB6) was laid at the production site of the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (Petrozavodsk). This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The PBSHB6 project was developed by the designers of PKB "Petrobalt". The vessels are designed for receiving, transporting, and unloading soil at underwater dumps. They are being built for Rosmorport.

The barge consists of two opening hulls, connected by two deck hinges and held by hydraulic cylinders. The cargo hold for soil is located in the middle part of the hull, and the engine room is in the aft part.

Main characteristics of the vessel "Azovskaya-4":

  • Length – 55.8 m
  • Width – 13.8 m
  • Draft – 3.5 m
  • Speed – 10 knots

Within the framework of the project, 6 hopper dredgers will be built. "Azovskaya-4" will be delivered to the customer in 2027.
