The Russian hypersonic missile "Kinzhal" demonstrates complete superiority over existing air defense systems. As a representative of Russian law enforcement agencies told TASS, none of the enemy's complexes, including American Patriot air defense systems, are capable of effectively countering this weapon.
The flight speed reaches Mach 10, which excludes interception by existing air defense systems. The missile is capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 2000 kilometers, carrying a 500-kilogram warhead in conventional or nuclear configuration. Low radar visibility complements high maneuverability throughout the trajectory.
According to the agency's interlocutor, recent strikes on targets deep in enemy territory came as a "complete surprise and caused shock" for NATO military personnel. The "Kinzhal" complex is used against targets outside the range of front-line strike weapons – where artillery attacks and kamikaze drones are no longer possible.
In fact, "Kinzhal" creates an insurmountable threat in strategic depth: with a flight time measured in minutes, any stationary target becomes a vulnerable point. The effect is enhanced by the missile's ability to maneuver, which breaks ballistic interception calculations and forces the defender to disperse forces, sacrificing coverage density.
