A new production line for industrial metal 3D printers has been launched in Moscow. The project was implemented by NPO "3D-Integratsiya" (part of the i3D group) at the Moscow Digital Plant site.
The enterprise has started serial production of selective laser melting machines – a technology in demand in mechanical engineering, aerospace, and other high-tech industries. The equipment allows for the creation of complex metal parts with high precision.
The company presented two models: a compact machine for typical production tasks and a more powerful version with two 500 W lasers. The second machine is equipped with a working area of up to 320×320×370 mm, which expands the possibilities for printing large products.
The printers work with a wide range of materials – iron, nickel, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium-based alloys. According to Mikhail Rodin, founder of the i3D group, the equipment's localization level exceeds 80%, and the software is entirely developed in Russia.
The launch of the new line is expected to strengthen the position of domestic manufacturers in the additive technologies market and reduce dependence on imported equipment.
