Yandex Go has introduced neural network tools to speed up taxi pickup. The app itself suggests ready-made comments for the driver, sparing the user from typing text manually, the service's press office told TASS.
Artificial intelligence analyzes the point on the map and produces short description options: "by the sign, entrance No. 3" or "around the corner from the yellow building." At the same time, the algorithms have learned to predict the trip destination address based on the frequency and timing of orders, and after the booking is placed they show a countdown timer until the car arrives. According to the company, active passengers have become 15% more likely to choose the suggested address instead of entering it manually.
For the taxi market, this means a lower share of canceled orders caused by misunderstanding the geolocation. The driver does not waste time making calls, and the car becomes available faster for the next customers.
