A Giant on Tracks: Altailesmash Releases a New Drilling and Crane Rig for the Taiga and Tundra

The 180 hp machine drills wells up to 10 meters deep and lifts up to 3.2 tonnes

The Altailesmash plant has released the universal TL3-ALM drilling and crane rig. It is designed for drilling wells up to 10 meters deep and from 350 to 630 mm in diameter—for power line supports, fences, and foundations. The machine is also equipped with a crane unit with a lifting capacity of up to 3.2 tonnes, a boom reach of 11.2 meters, and a bulldozer blade for clearing rights-of-way, mineralized strips, and debris.

The rig is mounted on a tracked chassis with a YaMZ-236M2 engine rated at 180 horsepower. Ground pressure is only 0.3–0.5 kg/cm², allowing the machine to operate confidently during muddy seasons, on slopes, and in taiga terrain. Control is manual, the drive is hydraulic, and rotation is 360 degrees.

For operation in harsh conditions, a "Sever" configuration is available, designed for temperatures down to –55°C. The development is aimed at power utilities, forestry enterprises, municipal services, and contracting organizations.
